Saturday 14th July Selections

Society Rock (above) is now the 10/3, and albeit weak favourite for the Prestigious Darley July Cup, Europe’s Premier Sprint race at Newmarket today. With a late string of non runners this morning just twelve horses go to post at a rain-dampened Newmarket for the Group 1 featured race of the day. Society Rock finished a two-length ‘closing’ fifth to the Aussie unbeaten champion Black Caviar in a dramatic renewal of the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. The 5-yo broke poorly that day gifting the field a start and endured a troubled passage before staying on out of the pack to get within just two lengths to the eased down Black Caviar under an arrogent Luke Nolen. Many argue he was the horse to take out of the field that day, with a touch of luck on his side would have got a lot closer. But this is no route for punters to follow, as it has been proven time and time again that following so called ‘unlucky’ horses by no means guarantees profit. There was a prime example just last weekend at Sandown in the Coral Eclipse where punters ploughed into Farhh who couldn’t get to the game Nathaniel. Good morning punters…!

It’s a busy one today for GYTO where we will be covering six meetings around the country and over in Ireland. Channel 4 hosts a triple header today at Newmarket, York and Newbury. The featured race of the day is the Darley July Cup, Europe’s Premier Sprint Race at Newmarket at 3.20pm. Strong Suit a 10/1 shot, has been confirmed a definite runner in the twelve-strong field with favourite Bated Breath, Krypton Factor and Libranno adding to the list of absentees.

Newmarket has been absolutely drenched overnight with 19mm of rain falling, the clerk of the course reported that it hadn’t stopped raining since 10pm yesterday. The going is Soft, Heavy in places. They did manage to get the course cut after racing yesterday and it has been reported that the track has taken the downpour well but it will be testing conditions come 1.40pm where the first race of the day is due off. Rain is scheduled to clear by 10am this morning with some potential for a shower or two later but all things considered the outlook isn’t too bad.

The John Smiths Cup also takes place today over at York where there has been a mini miracle regarding the weather. William Derby, the clerk of the course officially reported the going this morning as Good, Good to Soft in places. It is thought to be just on the easy side but is expected to continue to dry throughout the day with a gentle, drying breeze and no more rain expected. First race is 1.55pm with the featured race at 3pm which will be the 53rd running of the John Smiths Cup. Over 40,000 are expected on the Knavesmire this afternoon for the £270,000+ featured race. They host a seven-race card today.

In other racing news this morning Hamilton has passed its early morning inspection thankfully and racing goes ahead this evening where they also host a seven-race card. Unfortunately, Salisbury has proved victim to the weather abandoning their meeting this evening with the course waterlogged. There is racing from Chester today where the going is Soft kicking off at 2.15pm.

About getyourtipsout

We were created just 5 months ago on a Wednesday afternoon on 4th May 2011 but our idea and reasoning behind GYTO goes back a lot further! We have always had a keen passion for sport, specifically football and horse racing. Originally GYTO was created to spread news of profitable bets through retweeting or mentioning individuals. Almost a funnel echoing key ongoings in the sporting, social and gambling world. However, it progressed rapidly and after developing a few significant sources in the sporting world we began to tweet their selections that they occasionally offered combined with our extensive knowledge resulted in a superb strike rate gaining us huge recognition especially across twitter. We now offer horse racing selections every day of the week that is updated daily. We are always involved in some way or another in any big sporting occasion and will always offer our views and opinions. Everything we do is FREE of charge and is to help our followers to create a profit from any stake they wish to risk on our selections. This blog is used to update our daily level stakes profit & loss so the results are clear for everyone to see.
