Friday 17th August Selections

Nathaniel‘s effort on debut two years ago, still remains one of the closest Frankel has faced in his unbeaten run that stretched to twelve, after his procession at Glorious Goodwood in the Qipco Sussex Stakes. The bookmakers shortened John Gosden’s 4-yo to 4/1 when he was declared to run in the Juddmonte International Stakes. Yesterday, Gosden warned Leopardstown rather than York remains the most likely destination for the King George and Eclipse winner. The two were among ten entries for the Group One featured race at York next Wednesday. Included in that ten is St Nicholas Abbey, who surely would have benefited from a prominent ride under young Joseph O’Brien in the King George at Royal Ascot. He finished fast that day and looked to have another Group One race in him yet. However, Frankel looks simply unstoppable at the moment and we wouldn’t want to take any of the 7/1 available. Frankel is now best-priced 1/7F to take his record to thirteen straight victories and we can offer little in the way of a resistance! Even if Nathaniel was to race him, it would take a brave man to tip. Of course, there is the ‘unknown’ factor regarding the extra distance for Khalid Abdullah’s superstar to overcome. The way he shaped and the fact Queally struggled to pull him up at Ascot, showed he can definitely stay further. Younger brother Noble Mission has already proved his worth over this distance this season, bolstering already obvious claims. However, Brigadier Gerard did lose his unbeaten run in this race somewhat forty-years ago when Roberto managed to get up. Frankel is something like no other, and the only one to stop him would be himself. Noble Mission is set to race on the same card in the Neptune Investment Management Great Voltigeur Stakes, and Ladbrokes are notably offering 10/1 that both siblings win, albeit Noble Mission‘s chances being far from a certainty. All looks set for the magnificent Frankel to make it thirteen from thirteen next Wednesday at York. The bookmakers are again taking no chances, despite his step up in trip, they make the Khalid Abdullah superstar a 1/7F shot. (Photo above – Frankel in a canter under Queally

Good morning punters!

a look back at the weeks action

It has been a largely profitable week up to now kicking off in style on Monday with sixteen winners, despite such a low-grade of racing across the board. Highlights from Monday were Attraction Ticket doing just enough for Adam Beschizza – who’s had a good week, and continuing David Simcock’s fine form on the flat of late. Other winners included Satwa Laird a surprising winner for Hayley Turner given her poor week in the saddle. The 6-yo races again today but is upped in trip and has to suffer with a 6lb penalty for that neck victory. Titled Gent, you may remember, was one of the eye-catching performances of the day under Fallon who has notched up his fair share of winners this week. Brian Meehan’s 2-yo went into our tracker and we’ll be keeping an eye on his campaign. It was good to see Pippy finally break his maiden tag for Manor House Stables, Tom Dascombe and Wayne Rooney. Coming from off the pace, he seemingly relished the step up in trip and looks to progress, potentially getting even further in time.

Tuesday was a pretty average day for us, hitting ten winners. However, it was overshadowed by a few poor performances. Notably by Universal for Mark Johnston who found one to good at Wolverhampton on the all-weather. William Buick disappointed, first on Palazzo Bianco and then on Exceptionelle. Hayley Turner seemingly followed suit on her only ride of the day, Exceedexpectations. We did still end the day in the green, and it was probably down to our IWAC (in with a chance) Ukrainian. A horse we have followed for a while, shaped well the last twice and looked to have a good opportunity in a Class 5 Handicap. We put the selection up at 6/1 on Monday night and the Mark Johnston 3-yo was well-supported all morning, returning a 3/1 winning favourite under Joe Fanning, who like Kieron Fallon has enjoyed a pretty good week. He powered away to a convincing three-and-a-quarter length victory and the penny may well have dropped.

Wednesday in truth, was the disappointment of the week, ending in the minus after several disappointing displays. A couple of nice performances by the types of Henry Allingham and Glass Office were overshadowed by the abysmal display by Emirates Queen at Salisbury. She was a well-regarded filly beforehand, and with the going change after substantial rain against her, she still should have performed better than she did. She never travelled a yard for Fallon finishing a distant seventh. It was our biggest bet of the day, that combined with our hunch on the Italians it capped off a woeful day! But, like we always do, we bounced back in some style!

Thursday was to be a record-breaking day for GYTO as we hit nineteen winners across the board. After digesting all the statistics yesterday evening, we notched up a 40% strike rate. It left us some +80 points up on the day, as we smashed through the +1,500 barrier which had been looming for some time. Our three notebook horses for the day came up top trumps, with MARCH the first of the three swooping late past the odds-on favourite Avec Rose. The largely consistent Angel Gabrial bravely stuck his neck in front for Fallon having rallied to land the odds at 4/1. Things could only get better as 8/1 shot, The Lemonpie somehow rallied under Brendan Powell to win at Fontwell to cap off a remarkable day. That ride by young Brendan Powell, must go down at one of if not the ride of the week!

a look ahead today

To follow on from yesterday, there is some more competitive, exciting action ahead with six meetings in total to get stuck into. The improving Sandreamer heads up one of our best bets of the day in an open race. We feel particularly confident on our picks at Newbury today but be weary of a going change. A lot of our picks at Newmarket this evening are based on the ground turning soft with substantial rain forecaster for later on. We will be posting a lucky 15 a little later today, and we hope your following on #flutterFriday. Good luck!

About getyourtipsout

We were created just 5 months ago on a Wednesday afternoon on 4th May 2011 but our idea and reasoning behind GYTO goes back a lot further! We have always had a keen passion for sport, specifically football and horse racing. Originally GYTO was created to spread news of profitable bets through retweeting or mentioning individuals. Almost a funnel echoing key ongoings in the sporting, social and gambling world. However, it progressed rapidly and after developing a few significant sources in the sporting world we began to tweet their selections that they occasionally offered combined with our extensive knowledge resulted in a superb strike rate gaining us huge recognition especially across twitter. We now offer horse racing selections every day of the week that is updated daily. We are always involved in some way or another in any big sporting occasion and will always offer our views and opinions. Everything we do is FREE of charge and is to help our followers to create a profit from any stake they wish to risk on our selections. This blog is used to update our daily level stakes profit & loss so the results are clear for everyone to see.
