MAIN SEQUENCE is a horse we have followed since his impressive Derby trial at Lingfield back in May. He went on to finish within five-lengths of the triple crown seeking Camelot that day, and was desperately unlucky in the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris, over in France at Longchamp next time out. He is definitely an improving-3-yo, and the Neptune Investment Management Great Voltigeur Stakes looks a prime opportunity for him to prove that. It is thought that David Lanigan will run MAIN SEQUENCE in the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster next month, if he can deliver today. The Niarchos family’s colt has reportedly worked well at home progressing physically. Lanigan said: “He’s done well physically and he’s improved an awful lot, I think, as he’s stronger looking now.
