Sunday 9th September Selections

Society Rock landed the Group One Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock in the hands of Kieron Fallon yesterday, just his second Group One victory since back in 2006. James Fanshawe’s five-year-old also returned to the winner’s enclosure for the first time since his victory in last season’s Golden Jubilee Stakes. He was always travelling well and waited for that gap before powering up the far rail to hit the front a furlong from home. Fallon drove him right out to the line to gamely fend off a strong late looking run from Gordon Lord Byron, who ran a cracker under Richard Kingscote. Our selection Bated Breath, despite an awkward start, had every chance once angled for a run by James Doyle and there can be no excuses. It’s a real shame but he simply isn’t a Group One horse despite having come so close, especially last season. Not sure what the next step for Roger Charlton’s 5-yo will be, but expect a return to Group Two action. The Aussie mare Ortensia was a huge disappointment only managing to beat one rival home, despite being sent off 5/2 favourite after winning the Nunthorpe Stakes at York last month. Society Rock had seemingly saved his best form for Ascot in the past and had failed to win the past seven times since his win at Royal Ascot last summer. In five of them though, he contested Group One action and showed clear promise when finishing a two length fifth to Black Caviar after fluffing the start. “If we had got his stalls problem organised a bit earlier, I’m sure his record would have been even better,” Fanshawe said. “He completely missed the break when he was fifth in the Diamond Jubilee. The Qipco Champions Sprint on Champions Day at Ascot next month is likely to be Society Rock‘s next port of call. Gordon Lord Byron who showed significant promise, could make a return to handicap company. (Photo –

About getyourtipsout

We were created just 5 months ago on a Wednesday afternoon on 4th May 2011 but our idea and reasoning behind GYTO goes back a lot further! We have always had a keen passion for sport, specifically football and horse racing. Originally GYTO was created to spread news of profitable bets through retweeting or mentioning individuals. We now offer horse racing selections every day of the week that is updated daily. We are always involved in some way or another in any big sporting occasion and will always offer our views and opinions. Everything we do is FREE of charge and is to help our followers to create a profit from any stake they wish to risk on our selections.
